An international conference dedicated to 10th anniversary of the Azerbaijanâ€™s Constitutional Court starts

In his opening speech, chairman of the Constitutional Court Farhad Abdullayev said the Constitutional Court was established on the basis of Fundamental Law adopted in 1995, APA reports. He said during the past ten years his organization made steps toward the development of equity court of the legal state. Farhad Abdullayev said that the Court gave an importance to the international relations as well and took measures for the implementation of decisional law of the European Court on Human Rights in Azerbaijan. He said over the past ten years the Constitutional Court made 150 decisions, including 58 decisions on the individual suits. Then Chief of the Department of the Presidentâ€™s Office on the Law-Enforcement Bodies Fuad Alasgarov read a letter of congratulation of Azerbaijani President to the conference participants. Addressing the conference, Secretary of the Council of Europeâ€™s Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio said his organization closely cooperated with the Azerbaijanâ€™s Constitutional Court and relations between the two organizations were in the highest level. First Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ziyafat Asgarov focused on the Constitutional Courtâ€™s role in the regulation of relations between the state and society. The conference is continuing its work now. The international conference dedicated to 10th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan will finalize its work on Tuesday.
