Lale Shovket Hajiyeva: Azadlig bloc will not participate in the 2008 presidential elections if Electoral Code is not amended

Azadlig bloc has no problems in its activity. We are working out the action plan for 2007 and will approve it in Januaryâ€?, said National Unity party leader Lale Shovket Hajiyeva commenting on the rumors about Azadlig blocâ€™s getting weak, APA reports.
The meeting of the bloc will be held in January. The principal point of the action plan is related to the amendments to the Electoral Code. All the international organizations, as well as opposition, offer to form election commission on parity bases.
â€œThe realization of this offer and 26th recommendation of the OSCE is the main principle for usâ€?, she said. Lale Shovket Hajiyeva stated that Azadlig bloc will not participate in the 2008 presidential elections if Electoral Code is not amended.
â€œOur principal aim is to change the situation. Because we cannot achieve anything by the meetingsâ€?, she noted.
Citizen and Development Party leader Ali Aliyev also rejected the information about the recession of blocâ€™s activity.
â€œThere is a recession in the whole society. The Bloc continues its activity according to the programme; meets with the representatives of international organizations, forms its structure. The removal of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party from its premises causes some problem. But it will be solved soonâ€?, he added. /APA/
