Chairman of Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France arrives in Azerbaijan

Baku â€“ APA. The delegation led by chairman of Representative Council of Jewish Institutions in France (CRIF) Richard Prasquier will arrive in Baku today. The State Committee on Work with Diaspora told APA that the visit organized on the initiative of the organization will end on October 26. The delegation includes member of CRIF Board of Directors Jean-Pierre Allali, member of commission on work with Muslims Veronique Harari, member of international affairs commission Patrick Bloch and manager on international development Eve Gani.
Representative Council of Jewish Institutions covers more than 60 Jewish organizations.

The main principles of the council are to protect and represent the rights and interests of Jewish Diaspora functioning in France at local and international level, solidarity with Israel and protect Jews and the other people against racism and anti-Semitism. During the visit, the delegation will visit the grave of nation-wide leader Heydar Aliyev and Alley of Martyrs on October 24. The delegation is expected to meet with chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Nazim Ibrahimov, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, chairman of the State Committee on Work with Religious Organizations Elshad Isgandarov, SOCAR vice-president Elshad Nasirov and staff of the French embassy in Azerbaijan.

They also plan to meet with representatives of mountain Jews community living in Red Settlement of Guba region.
