Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs doesn’t intend to respond to the note sent by Azerbaijan. Russian faithful source told APA’s special correspondent in Moscow. According to the information, Russian MFA doesn’t intend to respond to the note sent to Russian Federation by Azerbaijan concerning the speech made by the member of Russian State Council and State Duma, the leader of Liberal-Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky against Azerbaijan during a protest meeting held in Moscow on September 14: “We don’t usually comment on diplomatic notes. We’d like to express our regret that the information on Azerbaijan’s calling Russian ambassador to the ministry of foreign Affairs and giving a note was exaggerated by Russian media and presented to the community in a false way. The relations between the countries are on a very high level. Russia supports the future development of the current relations.

The source informs that, after the note by the Azerbaijani side, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia Polad Bul-Buloglu met with the deputy Foreign minister of Russia Qriqoriy Karasin. The sides discussed Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s speech against Azerbaijan:”We understand concerns of the Azerbaijani government. We aren’t responsible for the politician’s words. Of course, statements made by Zhirinovsky don’t reflect the position of the Russian government. He is an ordinary person; though he is a member of Russian State Duma”.

Note that, Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and met by the Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov on September 18. Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed APA that Khalafov told Russian ambassador that Azerbaijan seriously protests the action held with the initiative of Russian-Armenian Union and due to the permission of Major’s Office of Moscow City on September 14, concerning the extradition and pardoning of Ramil Safarov, as well as the provocations made by the member of Russian State Council and State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky. He called on Armenians for the acts which could cause national conflict, criminal cases and enmity between the two countries and to commit terrorist attacks against Azerbaijan. The note by the Azerbaijani side was submitted to Russian Ambassador.
