Azerbaijan’s New Consulate General in Aktau tightens security measures

Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s New Consulate General in Aktau tightens security measures due to events in Janaozen city of Mangistau Region, Kazakhstan, on December 16.

According to Consulate, taking the living of many Azerbaijanis in Mangistau into consideration, the Consulate contacted with General law-enforcement agencies of the Region and interested in whether Azerbaijanis were injured from the events. Taking the cutting of communication with Janaozen city into consideration, some persons were sent to the area top interest in Azerbaijanis in that city and their evacuation, if it needs.

Taking the extension of events into consideration, actives of Azerbaijani Diaspora living in Mangistau, Azerbaijani businessmen in the region were invited to the Consulate. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau Rashad Mammadov made speech and gave instructions on steps to be taken by Azerbaijan, if the events extend.

Consulate General tightened security measures due to events, and the guarding of building Consulate General was strengthened by agreeing with Security Service of Diplomatic Representations of Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry.
