Moscow. Farid Akbarov – APA. Press conference was held in Moscow dedicated to the presentation ceremony of the English version of “Baku” magazine. APA’s Moscow correspondent reports that Leyla Aliyeva, editor-in-chief of the magazine, vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, head of Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia, founder of the International Dialogue for Environmental Action (IDEA) and Mikhail Gusman, Deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS agency, attended the press conference.

Mikhail Gusman said the Russian version of the “Baku” magazine had already found its readers.
“I am sure the English version of the magazine will be a success, too” he said.

Leyla Aliyeva said the Russian version of “Baku” magazine had been printed for four years. According to her, since then, there was an intention to publish the international version of the magazine.
“The first edition of the English version of the magazine has been published. It was not easy to publish this version, it took four years to do it. The English version of the magazine is not the translation of the Russian version. It would have been easy, if it had been translation. We believe that this version will be as successful as the Russian version,” she said.

Leyla Aliyeva said the presentation ceremony of the English version of the magazine would be held in a number of cities, including New York, Berlin, Rome and Paris.
“The Russian version of the magazine is published in Estonia, the English version at Condé Nast, London,” she said.

Leyla Aliyeva said they were cooperating with the world-famous designers, artists and photographers.
“The goal of the magazine is not only to inform the English-speaking readers about the ancient culture, rich history, beautiful and wise customs of the ancient Land of Fire, but also to inform them about the modern lifestyle of the Azerbaijanis. “Baku” magazine will help the world to rediscover Azerbaijan and its capital, find out the most secret and good features of its people,” she said.

Leyla Aliyeva said the March issue would be dedicated to the Eurovision Song Contest that would be held in Baku. According to her, the foreigners, who will come to watch the contest, will be able to get familiarized with Azerbaijan through this magazine.

The presentation of the English version of “Baku” magazine will be held at Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow tomorrow.
