President Ilham Aliyev: “Azerbaijan’s economy provides 75% of the South Caucasus’s economyâ€
The president said that the necessary steps have been taken for the organizations of the world Azerbaijanis after the 1st Congress of the World Azerbaijanis. Underlining Azerbaijan’s passing the great development way for the last 20 years, the head of state noted that it was going by the name of Heydar Aliyev.
President noted Azerbaijan’s rapid and successful development: “the country is managed with the democratic bases. The speech and press is free in Azerbaijan. The duties which stand in front of the country are being executed. Today Azerbaijan has turned into the important factor in the region. The experience, existing in the world and considered acceptable in the world, is used in Azerbaijan. The modernization is going. The world economic crisis insignificantly influenced Azerbaijan as a result of implemented economic reformsâ€.
President Aliyev said that Azerbaijan’s economy has grown for 3 times during the last 7 years, the Gross Domestic Product increased to 300%, the level of poverty decreased for 5 times as a result of carried out programs: “it shows that the human factor stands in the basis of our economic policyâ€.
The head of state noted that $16 mln were invested to the country’s economy and said that life conditions of people were improved as a result of implemented reforms. In his speech, he said that Azerbaijan’s influence to the processes in the region were increasing, Azerbaijan’s economy provides 75% of the economy of the South Caucasus.
President underlined that Azerbaijan made mistake neither in domestic nor foreign policy and was recognized as a reliable partner.
