Lithuanian Seimas commemorates victims of Khokaly genocide -<font color=red> PHOTO</font>

Baku â€“ APA. The conference devoted to the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre was held in the Constitution Hall of the Lithuanian Seimas within the framework of â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ campagn.

APA reports that Lithuanian MPs Andrius Burba, Petras Luomanas, Gediminas Aleksenas, Benas Petraitis, chairman of Management Board of Academic Union on Political Sciences Gintaustas Reklys, director of Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences Edgunas Racius, Azerbaijani ambassador to Lithuania Naira Shahtakhtinskaya, Georgian ambassador to Lithuania George Kerdikoshvili, representative of Lithuanian Youth Council Paulius Miezelis, Ricardas Lapaitis who was a journalist in Karabakh during Khojaly tragedy, , Advisor of Lithuanian Minister of Culture Imantas Melianas and the others attended the event organized by MP Mantas Adomenasâ€™s leadership and National Coordinator of Justice for Khojaly campaign in Lithuania Ieva Lucoseviciute.

The attendees condemned the massacre against Azerbaijanis in Khojaly and underlined the importance of prosecution of the criminals. About 10 MPs, as well as chairman of Azerbaijan-Lithuania Society Mazahir Hamzayev and the Azerbaijani students in Lithuania attended the event.

Note that â€œJustice for Khojalyâ€ campaign was started in February of 2009 on the initiative of the General Coordinator for Intercultural Dialogue of the Islamic Conference Youth Forum for Dialogue Leyla Aliyeva. The purpose of the campaign is to inform the international society about Khojaly tragedy, provide moral-political assessment of the tragedy in the international arena and commemoration of it at the international level.
