Karabakh Foundation holds presentation of “Refugee: Anar Usubov long travel” documentary in Washington DC

The Karabakh Foundation told APA that the film highlights the Nagorno Karabakh conflict in the eyes of 8-year old Khojaly resident. Anar, who can not return to his homeland, shares his refugee story. The film informs the American community about the struggle of Karabakh refugees, about the conflict, Azerbaijan and Caucasus.

After the presentation ceremony, Karabakh Foundation’s Executive Director Diana Altman asked the participants to pay tribute to the Azerbaijani citizens martyred in Khojaly with a minute of silence. The author of the film, Turkish journalist Cem Oguz, invited to Washington by the Karabakh Foundation, shared his feelings with the viewers. Representatives of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in US, students, public figures, film producers attended the event.

The Karabakh Foundation is a charitable non-profit organization that aims to research, publish, educate and present more facts about the Azerbaijani and Caucasus region’s history, especially in regards to the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Founded and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the Karabakh Foundation strives to work with all scholars, academics, fellows, educators, teachers, students, museums and other relevant expert communities to enrich the knowledge and appreciation for the Azerbaijani culture, music, arts and history from the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
