Book â€œKhojaly genocide: through eyes of witnessesâ€ by Ganira Pashayeva and Havva Mammadova presented in Turkey

Baku â€“ APA. Federation Combating Groundless Armenian Claims held commemorative events on the 19th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide in the city of Yalova, Turkey. APA reports that members of the Turkish parliament, Azerbaijani parliamentarians and heads of the NGOs attended the event.

Azerbaijanâ€™s Consul General to Istanbul Hasan Zeynalov, MP Sabir Rustamkhanli gave detailed information about the genocide committee by Armenia against the Azerbaijani civilians in Khojaly.

Parliamentarian Ganira Pashayeva spoke about the acts of vandalism committed by Armenia in the occupied Azerbaijani territories, destruction of Azerbaijani historical, cultural, religious monuments, graveyards, acts of genocide, including Khojaly genocide committed against Azerbaijani civilians, one million Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons, who can not return home.
â€œKhojaly genocide being the genocide against Turks is the problem of the entire Turkic world. The entire Turkic world must take active steps for the punishment of the perpetrators, condemnation and recognition of this genocide by the world,â€ she said.

MP Elman Mammadov, who witnessed the Khojaly genocide, spoke about the genocide terrors committed by Armenia in Khojaly and massacres of peaceful people committed by the Armenian armed forces at the night from February 25 to 26.

Chairwoman of the Azeri-Turk Women Union Tanzila Rustamkhanli called on the non-governmental organizations and women societies to take active part in delivering information about the genocide acts committed against Azerbaijanis to the world.

Addressing the event, Turkish public and political figures, scientists and leaders of the non-governmental organizations also condemned Armenia for Khojaly genocide. They said the worldâ€™s indifference to these crimes of Armenia causes anger.

A photo-exhibition describing Khojaly genocide was organized within the framework of the event. A book written in Turkish by PhD in political sciences, MP Ganira Pashayeva and member of the Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh Havva Mammadova - â€œKhojaly genocide: through eyes of witnessesâ€ was presented at the event.

The book contains memories of the witnesses and Khojaly residents suffered from severe tortures during the Armenian captivity and hostage.
