Head of Azerbaijanâ€™s Presidential Administration approves plan of events on 19th anniversary of Khojaly genocide

The plan of events includes visit of the monuments erected in memory of Khpjaly genocide victims in Khatai district, Naftalan, release of the appeal of Khojaly residents to the states, peoples of the world and international organizations, press conferences, commemorative events in Azerbaijani embassies, representations, Diaspora organizations abroad, coverage of the materials on Khojaly genocide by foreign mass media.

According to the document, various events will be arranged in organizations, exhibition halls, universities and secondary schools, documentary and feature films about the struggle for national freedom will be demonstrated.

With participation of the heads of state structures, parliamentarians and intellectuals aids will be rendered to the martyrsâ€™ families in the cities and regions (Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Mingachevir, Shaki, Naftalan, Goranboy, Berde, Sabirabad, Goychay, Zagatala, Oghuz, Balaken) temporarily settled by Khojaly residents.

The information about Khojaly genocide will be updated on the internet, TV and radios, mass media of the country will present materials on Khojaly genocide.

The victims of Khojaly genocide will be commemorated for a minute of silence at 17.00 in the country on February 26. The first lessons in the educational institutions will be devoted to this tragedy.
