Washington. Isabel Levine â€“ APA. US Azeri and Turkish communities are welcome the appointment of a first Turkic-American to the California State Assistance Fund for Enterprise, Business and Industrial Development Corporation (SAFE-BIDCO).
According to APA’s Washington DC correspondent, on December 31, 2010, Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, appointed Mr. Sinan Kanatsiz, 36, of San Clemente, Orange County, CA to the Board of Directors of SAFE-BIDCO.

Republican Kanatsiz is a founder and chief executive officer for Kanatsiz Communications, a $14-million company based in California, since 1997. He is also a chairman and founder of the Anaheim International Film Festival and the Internet Marketing Association, member of the Pretend City Childrenâ€™s Museum Board of Directors and National Outreach Chairman for YMCA Youth and Government.

"Azerbaijani-American Council (AAC) extends its greetings and best wishes to Mr. Kanatsiz in his new state position, and welcomes further engagement of Turkic-Americans in the U.S. public and political life", says AAC’s statement.
