Baku. Ulkar Gasimova – APA. The Victoria and Albert Museum will present “Central Asian veils” exhibition from the collection of Raun organized by Culture and Tourism Ministry and Azerbaijan State Art Museum named after R. Mustafayev. Spokesman for Culture and Tourism Ministry Intigam Humbatov told APA that the opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held in Azerbaijan State Art Museum named after R. Mustafayev on November 5. 58 kinds of clothes and veils of the Central Asia will be demonstrated at the exhibition.

According to scientific sources, the territory of the Central Asia includes Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, as well as Afghanistan and a part of the Western China.

The Great Silk Road, which had ensured the development of trade between the East and West before the sea routes were opened, passed through these territories. This paved the way for the enrichment of Central Asian art. The exhibition will demonstrate the examples of this art from Raun’s collection.
