Management Board of Azerbaijan Composers’ Union holds meeting
Firangiz Alizadeh said the plan of events on the 75th jubilee of the union was prepared by the secretariat.
“The festival that we want to hold on the occasion of the 75th jubilee of Azerbaijan Composers’ Union will be the festival of premieres. New works in symphonic, chamber instrumental, vocal instrumental, variety and other genres will be performed in the festival. We have declared competition among young composers “The best festive overture or a concert playâ€. The winner of the competition will be awarded and the winning work will be performed in the closing ceremony in the State Philharmonic Society named after Muslum Magomayev. The works will be registered by October 1,†he said.
Following this, the chairperson gave information about the composition of the organizing committee. She said the organizing committee of the festival consists of 21 persons. The organizing committee includes Rauf Aliyev, Faig Nagiyev, Arzu Mammadova, Adila Yusifova, Natig Valiyev, Rana Gadimova, Azad Zahid, Vasif Allahverdiyev, Govhar Hasanzadeh, Rufat Ramazanov and Rufat Khalilov. The jury headed by Professor Firangiz Alizadeh includes Agshin Alizadeh, Ramiz Zohrabov, Musa Mirzayev, Ogtay Zulfugarov, Eldar Mansurov, Sardar Farajov, Fakhraddin Karimov and Lala Huseynova. Speaking about the regional organizations of the composers’ union Alizadeh said there are five regional organizations.
“The Composers’ Union has Nakhchivan, Gandja, Lankaran, Shaki and Shusha regional organizations. Nakhchivan organization is more active. The union offers assistance to the organizations and this assistance will continue,†she said.
