Russian MFA: â€œWe believe in normalization of bilateral relations with Georgiaâ€

â€œWe hope that these elections will cause constructive changes and will give an opportunity for normalization of both bilateral relations and cooperation in all spheres. By the way, Iâ€™d like to remind the fact that Russia wasnâ€™t the initiator of worsened diplomatic relations between the states, it was Mr.Saakashvilli. Thatâ€™s why we hope that the parliamentary elections will positively influence not only bilateral relations, but also normalization of the situation in the whole South Caucasus. We will rely on not the statements of Georgian politicians, but the steps made. Our position towards the relations with all countries is the same. Russia was always in good relations with Georgian people through its history.
