Baku-APA. Visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan held talks with Egyptian interim President Adli Mansour here on Saturday and expressed support for Egypt's new leadership and for the will of the Egyptian people, APA reports quoting MENA.
The two leaders discussed enhancing bilateral ties between Egypt and Jordan as well as the recent developments in the Middle East region.
"Jordan's king reaffirmed his country's support for the national choices of the Egyptian people and assistance for Egypt to overcome the ongoing circumstances and reach firmly-established security and stability," MENA quoted a presidential statement as saying.
King Abdullah II's two-hour visit is the first official visit by a head of state to Egypt following the ouster of Islamist- oriented President Mohamed Morsi on July 3.
