Baku-APA. The Iranian police killed a " terrorist" suicide bomber in the southeastern port city of Chabahar on Tuesday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The man, wearing a suicide vest and carrying a grenade and a pistol, tried to enter the police headquarters in Chabahar in Sistan-Baluchestan province, but he did not succeed, general governor of the province was quoted as saying.
He shot at a guard of the police headquarters and wounded him, said the official, adding that the bomber was immediately shot dead by another police officer.
No casualties were inflicted on the Iranian security forces, he said without detailing on the identity of the suicide bomber.
The Pakistan-based Sunni rebel group Jundallah claimed responsibility for the deadly attacks against the Iranian security forces in the past years.
