The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had launched a ballistic missile attack on the Al-Azraq military base in Jordan in response to the US strike on Qeshm Island, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
According to a statement released by the IRGC, the US attack on Qeshm Island damaged residential homes and killed civilian members of a family.
The statement said that, as part of the retaliatory strike, the IRGC Aerospace Force targeted the location where F-35 fighter jets were stationed, as well as a maintenance hangar at the Al-Azraq military base, with several ballistic missiles.
The IRGC claimed that the attack completely destroyed three US F-35 fighter jets and seriously damaged three more aircraft.
The statement also claimed that several US officers, as well as technical and maintenance personnel, were killed in the strike.
