US President Donald Trump stated that he does not approve of large-scale military exercises directed against North Korea, as he has established friendly relations with that country's leader, Kim Jong-un, APA reports.
"I didn't like the fact that we're conducting such large-scale military exercises, essentially against North Korea, you know, that in reality these are exercises against North Korea, given that I have friendly relations with him," Trump said, answering questions from reporters at the White House.
"And I didn't like the fact that South Korea told us they weren't interested in helping us with the Strait of Hormuz," Trump added. "I thought that conducting large-scale exercises <...> was very insulting to someone who, at least during my term [as president], has behaved very well," Trump added.
