On September 8, Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov received US Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia David Allen, who is visiting Azerbaijan, APA reports. US Chargé d’Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon also attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, advancement of the peace process, ensuring long-term and sustainable peace, as well as steps taken to strengthen stability and security in the region.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the results of Elnur Mammadov’s visit to the United States on the occasion of the anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit and the signed trilateral statement, ongoing activities toward the implementation of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP), as well as the establishment of the TRIPP Development Company, which will oversee the construction of infrastructure related to the route.
In addition, the Azerbaijan-US bilateral agenda and prospects for future cooperation in the areas reflected in the Strategic Partnership Charter were reviewed.
