Azerbaijan to prepare proposals on Azerbaijani-language education in Georgia

The educational issues of our compatriots in Georgia are always kept in focus, Fuad Chiragov, Education Adviser at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia, told APA’s local bureau.

According to him, Azerbaijan’s relevant institutions are conducting studies into the challenges related to the Azerbaijani-language teaching process in Georgia.

“The relevant institutions are sufficiently informed about the shortcomings our compatriots face in the field of education. My work as Education Adviser in Georgia creates additional opportunities to become closely acquainted with the situation in this field and to address the challenges,” the adviser noted.

Fuad Chiragov said that proposals will be prepared on the development of Azerbaijani-language education in Georgia on the basis of bilateral cooperation.

“Challenges and certain shortcomings will be raised regularly, and we will seek to resolve them. Shortcomings related to the translation of textbooks and issues arising from differences in the education systems have been highlighted during meetings with the Georgian side and remain in focus. Relevant steps will be taken to resolve these issues. These matters are on the agenda and are being discussed at the working level,” the adviser added.
