Total Solar Eclipse of 2010

Baku – APA. A total solar eclipse happened on July 11, 2010. The unique natural event was only visible from the south hemisphere. The moon’s 260-km shadow crossed the north of New Zealand near the Cook Islands, Easter Island and French Polynesia and reached south of Chile and Argentina. The eclipse began at 2.15 PM ET (23.15 by Baku time) and ended at 4.52 PM ET (01.52 by Baku time).
