Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (MLSPP) has created a database of disabled Karabakh war veterans, head of the State Social Welfare Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Chingiz Aliyev, APA reports.
Aliyev said that the database on social welfare of disabled Karabakh war veterans is accessible in official website of the Ministry: “It envisages information about social welfare services rendered to 11432 disabled Karabakh war veterans by the state. It also covers their disability level, provision with car, housing, right to social security assistance and others. We will improve data from time to time.”
He noted that no significant increase was observed in the number of disabled Karabakh war veterans after re-verification at MLSPP: “Today, our zone expert commissions receive documents given to them regarding the level of disability by the commission of medical officers as well. Military hospitals issue these documents according to archive documents. Not all people fighting in the 90s were individually registered. Therefore, a large number of people fighting under volunteer battalions face difficulties in obtaining the status due to the lack of registration at that time.”
Aliyev said currently, 55 000 disabled Karabakh war veterans are not working and receiving state assistance in Azerbaijan.
