Sabirabad. Alibey Zeynalli – APA. A new medical facility jointly funded by the Azerbaijani government and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been inaugurated in Sabirabad District. APA’s Mil-Mughan bureau reports that the medical facility was constructed in the Garalar village of Sabirabad as part of the project “Socio-Economic Development Activity” (SEDA), which is funded by the Azerbaijani and U.S. governments.
The opening ceremony was attended by U.S. Chargé d'Affaires to Azerbaijan Dereck Hogan, the East-West Management Institute’s director on Azerbaijan T. Madigan, local officials as well as representatives of the Garalar village community and the Ministry of Industry and Economy.
Note that, the Garalar village sits 10 km away from the district center. The newly opened medical facility will serve 986 village residents.
