Baku – APA. Today, an opening of 3D graffiti project was held in the Dede Gorgud park with the joint initiative of IDEA (International Dialogue for Environmental Action) Public Union and Yarat Contemporary Art Space.

APA reports that the Vice-President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA PU Leyla Aliyeva attended the ceremony.

The graffiti works aim to inform people about the ecological problems and draw attention to these problems. It was noted at the opening ceremony that as a propaganda of new activity directions for young artists, the first surface graffiti work in Azerbaijan reflects animals including in Big Five of Caucasus and their protection.

With the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, a project “Big Five of Caucasus” was started in 2005 to protect animals which live in Azerbaijan and endangered with extinction. This five includes brown bear, imperial eagle, grey wolf, gazelle and Caucasian leopard.

One of the works that are being exhibited in the Dede Gorgud park was painted by British graffitists Edward Shiron, James Titchner and Julian Fetin in 3D format during 5 days. Along with foreign guests, Azerbaijani graffitists also painted works reflecting ecological problems of Caspian Sea, "No tree cutting" program realized at the joint intiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and IDEA Public Union.
