Every year the Heydar Aliyev Foundation presents schoolbags and teaching aids to first graders from refugee and IDPs families within the project “Support to education”.
The Foundation, giving special attention to education, is implementing “New School to Renewed Azerbaijan”, “Support to Education”, “Development of children’s homes and boarding schools” and “Development of preschool education institutions” programmes.
412 schools with more than 100 000 seats were built and reconstructed in different regions of Azerbaijan under the Foundation’s “New School to Renewed Azerbaijan” programme in 2005-2014. The project "Support to Education" envisages provision of educational institutions with new textbooks and teaching aids, re-establishment of pre-school educational institutions, implementation of other measures to improve quality of education.
