European Azerbaijan School becomes member of another international organization

EAS told APA that the school has become one of the prestigious schools of the world for its international standards of education and experience.

Graham Ranger, Director of School Support & Evaluation at the Council of International Schools (CIS) sent a letter of approval for membership status of the European Azerbaijan School. The letter reads: “We are congratulating all representatives of the school for becoming a member of the CIS. The CIS requirements include providing students with the knowledge, skills and abilities to pursue their lives as global citizens, commitment to high quality international education and sustainable development of the school.”

Graeme Pollock, Director of the European Azerbaijan School, highly assessed the teaching staff’s contribution in this regard and said significant changes in teaching and learning were implemented with their assistance. “Just thanks to these efforts, the School was recognized as “World School” by the International Baccalaureate® (IB) in 2015 and was authorized to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme for Azerbaijani students”, he said.

Council of International Schools official Chris Massio who visited The European Azerbaijan School stressed that the school’s new building constructed in Badamdar settlement, and the IT equipment and resources in it fully meet the most modern standards.

The European Azerbaijan School (EAS) was established by The European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS) in 2011. It was admitted to membership of the European Council of International Schools (ECIS) in 2013. The School is a modern educational institution operating with the world's most advanced standards on the basis of local and international curriculum.

The European Azerbaijan School (EAS) was granted school status for giving education under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) in June 2015.
