Deputy Chairperson of State Committee: â€œFamily Strategy of Azerbaijan is ready and will be submitted to government by the end of the yearâ€

Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloghlu – APA. “The Family Strategy of Azerbaijan is ready and the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs will submit it to the government by the end of the year,” Deputy Chairperson of the State Committee Aynur Sofiyeva told APA.

Sofiyeva said that the State Committee cooperated with relevant authorities in the preparation of the Family Strategy, studied the proposals and prepared the documents on this basis.

The Deputy Chairperson noted that the Family Strategy envisages strategic review of family affairs, in-depth analysis and directions for future activities: “The Family Strategy covers the issues of low-income and large families. The issues on improving social well-being of families will be reflected in the document.”

Sofiyeva said that the State Committee also prepared a draft law on parental responsibility and it is currently being approved with relevant authorities: “The document envisages amendments to the Criminal Code, Code of Administrative Offences and other legislative acts.”
