According to the statement, Flower Festival, which is held every year on the occasion of the birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev, has caused great interest among the public, and in this regard, the Mayor’s Office has received numerous initiatives.
In order to ensure a more active participation of several companies, representatives of the public and Baku residents in the process, the Baku Mayor’s Office has decided to hold the Flower Festival in a new format, the statement said.
“This year’s Flower Festival will not only be celebrated with flowers, wreaths, and decorative plants in varying designs, but it will be celebrated in various parks of the city with the participation of different organizations and citizens. People will be able to demonstrate their skills independently. During the Flower Festival, which has already become a national holiday, every Baku citizen will take an active part in landscaping work in all parks, gardens and avenues, thus contributing to the city’s beautification until it becomes one of Europe’s most beautiful cities,” said the statement.
The mayor’s office invites all residents to join the landscaping work in the capital’s parks, gardens and avenue and show their individual skills of making different compositions.
