Azerbaijan announces dates of 2016 entrance examinations

Registration of Russian sector applicants for the examination on the Azerbaijani language (on a bachelor's degree of higher educational institutions and secondary specialized educational institutions on the basis of 11-year secondary education) will take place from March 1 to 31. The first examination will be held on May 1, the second examination (for the applicants who get non-acceptable in the first exam or omit the first one) on June 12.

Test examinations for bachelor's degree are scheduled for April 3, 10, 24 and May 8.

Application process on the 1st and 4th specialty groups will take place on April 28, registration of applicants choosing the profession of a journalist on April 1-28, the application process on the 5th specialty group on May 3-17, e-registration for specialties that require special skills for the 1st specialty group on April 15-30, e-registration for specialties that require special skills for the 5th specialty group on May 6-19.

Entrance examinations on the 2nd and 3rd specialty groups for the graduates of previous years are due to take place on May 15, entrance examinations on the 1st and 4th specialty groups for the graduates of previous years on May 22, entrance examinations on the 1st and 4th specialty groups for this year’s graduates on July 15, entrance examinations on the 2nd and 3rd specialty groups for this year’s graduates on July 23, the examination for the profession of a journalism that requires special skills on July 29, the examination on specialties that require special skills for the 5th specialty group from July 15 to August 5, the examination on specialties that require special skills for the 1st specialty group on from July 25 to August 5.

Specialty choice on the 1st and 5th specialty groups will take place on from July 29 to August 10, registration of entrants in educational instantiations on the 1st stage on August 15-25, specialty choice for vacant seats on the 1st and 5th specialty groups on August 15-19, registration in the educational institutions for vacant seats on August 22-31.

Entrance examinations for military lyceums are scheduled for July 29.

Application process on specialized secondary educational institutions on the basis of complete secondary education will take place on May 3-17, e-registration for specialties that require special skills on May 4-18, entrance examinations for graduates of previous years on July 5, skills examinations for specialties that require special skills from July 15 till August 5, specialty choice on August 15-19, registration of entrants in educational institutions on August 22-31, specialty selection for vacant seats on September 2-6, registration of entrants in educational institutions for vacant seats on September 8-13.

Application process on specialized secondary educational institutions on the basis of general secondary education will take place on May 2-30, e-registration for specialties that require special skills from May 20 till June 2, entrance examinations for graduates of previous years on July 5, skills examinations for specialties that require special skills on July 9-13, specialty choice on July 8-18, registration of entrants in educational institutions on July 20-28, specialty selection for vacant seats on August 2-6, registration of entrants in educational institutions for vacant seats on August 10-16.

Final examinations in vocational schools are due to take place on June 13, the first direction (region) on June 16, the second direction (region) on June 21, the third direction (Baku) on June 25, the fourth direction (region) on June 30, entrance examinations on the 5th specialty groups (for graduates of previous years) July 5, monitoring examinations for 7th and 8th forms (region) on April 4-5, (Baku) on April 7-8, monitoring examinations for 11th form (Baku) on April 13,14,15, (region) on April 18,19.

SSAC recommends the applicants to carry out necessary works regarding the examinations (submitting applications, selecting specialties, registering at educational institutions) on time.
