On August 1, a funeral ceremony was held in Ganja Martyrs' Alley for the martyred soldier Mammadov Surkhay Rza, a resident of Gabagtepe village of Dashkasan district, who went missing in the First Garabagh war and was identified after 31 years, APA reports.
The martyr's funeral prayer was performed in the house where his family lived, and prayers were recited for his soul.
Then the body of the martyr was buried in Ganja Martyrs' Alley, flowers were arranged on his grave.
During the funeral, the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played accompanied by a military band and volleys were fired.
