A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between AZCON Holding and DP World on expanding cooperation in the fields of ports, logistics, shipbuilding and maritime transport, APA reports.
The document provides for the exchange of experience and expertise in optimizing, digitalizing and automating port operations, as well as introducing modern port technologies.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties will consider potential cooperation models for the development of port and logistics infrastructure in Azerbaijan and the Caspian region, exploring new investment opportunities, as well as jointly financing and operating maritime vessels that will serve the oil and gas sector.
Another area of cooperation is the development of shipbuilding and ship repair capabilities in Azerbaijan, increasing the use of existing production capacities, and expanding relevant services in the Caspian region.
The parties will also explore opportunities to implement joint initiatives in the areas of training port management personnel, knowledge exchange and sharing best practices.
