As of today, requirements for the external design of vehicles used in passenger transportation by taxi cars have come into force, it is reflected in the "Requirements for the technical characteristics, internal and external layout of vehicles used for regular passenger transportation and taxi cars", approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution of March 27, 2024. The requirements come into force on July 1, 2024, APA reports.
According to the requirements, taxi cars must be white or red.
When a special device is installed in a taxi to notify about the transportation of passengers, it must be placed in the upper right corner of the windshield of the car or next to the taxi headlight and light up red and green, respectively, indicating whether the car is free or not.
According to the document, a yellow-black or black-and-white "checkerboard" stripe must be applied to the taxi car and a checker with illumination and the inscription taxi in black letters must be installed.
