Protest action of dissatisfied vendors did not take place

The planned protest action of vendors outside President’s Office and Baku Mayor’s Office whose trade establishments around Azizbayov metro station in Baku have been knocked down did not take place, APA reports.
Though the picket was fixed to 10.00 today, the vendors did not come to the place of protest action. The Chairman of Coordination Center (established for the protection of vendors’ rights) Teymur Karimov stated that they will meet with the senior officials of the above-said state bodies and demand the solution of the problem.
“But police did not allow us to gather. We delayed the protest action in order not to confront with them.
The market near Azizbayov metro station was knocked down due to construction of bypass road. Though Baku Mayors’ Office allotted them a place for trading near Ulduz metro station they refused the proposal and stated that it was unsuitable place for trading. /APA/
