Vendors demanding new place for trade meet Baku Mayor

Vendor Shahmar Gurbanov told the APA that Mayor Hajibala Abutalibov promised to solve their problems. He told them that new place will be assigned for them in Nizami and Narimanov districts. Gurbanov said relevant bodies offered them places in Sabunchu market.
“Hajibala Abutalibov also offered this. But we did not agree to it. He also offered a place in Teze bazaar. But there are very few places there and the conditions are bad,†he said.
Gurbanov said that their goods were damaged when the establishments were knocked down. He added that they will also demand compensation.
Other vendor Teymur Kerimov told the APA that Coordination Council has been set up to protect their rights. Kerimov said that about 3,000 lost their jobs after that trade establishments and Merkuri Trade Center were knocked down.
The market near Azizbayov metro station was knocked down due to construction of the road. /APA/
