Participants of Baku conference on interreligious dialogue call on world community to condemn against occupied monuments

Baku – APA. Resolution was passed basing on the outcomes of the international conference “Interreligious dialogue: from mutual understanding towards joint cooperation” held in Baku on November 6-7, State Committee on Work with Religious Structures told APA. The resolution says that the need for interreligious cooperation is increasing in the modern world.
“Interreligious dialogue, the most perfect, cultural and working expression of tolerance, has become the factor of the most reliable communication. The participants of the conference appreciate that the international conference “Interreligious dialogue: from mutual understanding towards joint cooperation was held in Azerbaijan, the capital of Islamic culture, example of tolerance.”

The resolution says that the solution to the problems in the South Caucasus needs help of the international community.
“We call on the international organizations, social, religious institutions, representatives of various religions to use all possible means to solve these problems. The participants of the conference note that Azerbaijan closely cooperates with all confessions and deepens relations with other countries. We consider that various scientific centers of the world should conduct joint studies both on religion and special topics. The participants of the conference reject political situation and call on the world community to condemn the vandalism committed against the occupied ancient religious, historical, material, cultural monuments in the Caucasus.”
