Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office, sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh receives Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II, APA reports. Allahshukur Pashazadeh said Georgia and Azerbaijan are friends. He said there are forces that attempt to stir up discord between the two nations, but they will not achieve their goals.
â€œThe territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Georgia is an important issue. Our policy in the Caucasus should be highly appreciated. Due to this policy there is no religious confrontation in the Caucasus. Politicians should also repeat it. Armeniansâ€™ actions cause aggression in the Caucasus. We should help establish peace in the Caucasus,â€ he said.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Azerbaijan. He considers that the friendship of Azerbaijani and Georgian peoples is strong. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia also touched on the violation of his countryâ€™s territorial integrity.
â€œWe will never agree to the occupation of our territories,â€ he said.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Namig Aliyev also attended the meeting. At the end of the meeting, the religious leaders of the two countries gave presents to each other.
