Representative of Caucasian Muslims Office: Azerbaijani government caring for the citizens may pass a decision not to send them to Hajj

Baku. Elnur Mammadli – APA. Caucasian Muslims Office does not discuss postponing of Hajj pilgrimage in connection with A/H1N1 virus. Chief of international affairs department Caucasian Muslims Office Mugeddes Payizov told APA if the government of Saudi Arabia Kingdom passes a decision not to receive pilgrims, Caucasian Muslims Office may postpone the pilgrimage.
“In case of epidemic, Azerbaijani government caring for the citizens may pass a decision not to send them to Hajj. But no decision has been passed yet. The Caucasian Muslims Office has the authority to pass a decision about it, Cadi Council may pass a decision if necessary. Of course both Caucasian Muslims Office and the government will make a decision, if necessary. Under the present circumstances, there is no need for it. Therefore it is not being discussed,” he said.

Payizov said the office continues receiving applications for Hajj pilgrimage.
