Arab countries call on old Muslims to avoid Hajj pilgrimage because of “swine flu” threat

Cairo – APA. The health ministers of the Arab countries, in their meeting in Cairo dedicated to the prevention of “swine flu”, recommended to old Muslims and children not to pilgrimage to Hajj this year due to the spread of “swine flu” threat, APA reports. Head of the World health Organization’s Office in Cairo Ibrahim al-Kerdani said the health ministers recommended to the children under 12 and old people above 65, as well as people suffered from the chronic diseases not to go Hajj this year. He said Arab countries supported the decision to restrict the Hajj pilgrimage. Two million Muslims are expected to pilgrimage holy places in Makkah and Madinah this year.
