Speed limits will be introduced on toll roads in Azerbaijan, APA reports.
This is reflected in the amendment to the Law “On Road Traffic,” the implementation of which was approved by a decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the law, separate speed regulations are proposed for toll motorways. For passenger cars and freight vehicles with a permitted maximum weight of up to 3.5 tons operating outside residential areas, the speed limit is proposed to be set at no more than 130 kilometers per hour.
For other buses, passenger cars towing trailers, and freight vehicles with a permitted maximum weight exceeding 3.5 tons, the maximum speed limit is proposed to be set at no more than 90 kilometers per hour.
