The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, denounced the renewed missile strike on the Embassy building in Ukraine, APA reports.
The Azerbaijani head of state made this statement during a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
President Ilham Aliyev voiced serious concern in this regard and emphasized that such attacks against diplomatic missions are unacceptable under the norms and principles of international law.
Note that on November 14, at approximately 1:00 a.m., one of the Iskander-type missiles fell on the premises of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Kyiv, Ukraine, as a result of missile and drone attacks. In connection with this, Mikhail Yevdokimov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A strong protest was lodged with him, and a corresponding note verbal was presented.
The explosion resulted in the complete destruction of a part of the Embassy’s perimeter wall, damage to structures, service vehicles, the administrative building, and the Consular Section of the Embassy, as well as serious damage to the diplomatic mission’s compound.
