A cooperation protocol has been signed between the Press Council of Azerbaijan and the Global Journalists Council (Küresel Gazeteciler Konseyi – KGK) of Türkiye, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.
The document was signed within the framework of the fifth Global Media Meeting of the Global Journalists Council held in the city of Alanya, Türkiye.
A total of 310 journalists from 41 countries participated in the event.
The protocol was signed by Chairman of the Press Council of Azerbaijan, Rashad Majid, and Chairman of the Global Journalists Council, Mehmet Ali Dim.
In his speech, Rashad Majid stated that the signed document will make a significant contribution to the expansion of information exchange between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, as well as to the strengthening of cooperation between media organizations.
Chairman of the Global Journalists Council, Mehmet Ali Dim, in turn, recommended that journalists from Türkiye take a more active role in ensuring broader coverage of news related to Azerbaijan in the Turkish media. He emphasized that the signed protocol is an important step in this direction.
