OTS official praises Azerbaijan’s key bridging role in strengthening Turkic cooperation

The Organization of Turkic States implements projects in more than 55 areas and has become a regional actor, said Ömer Kocaman, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, at the 7th meeting of the ministers and high-ranking officials responsible for media and information of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.

Ömer Kocaman noted that in recent years, cooperation in the field of media has been developing increasingly in a systematic and institutional framework, emphasizing that expanding content exchange among the media institutions of member states, strengthening coordinated activities in the field of strategic communication, and forming agile defense mechanisms against disinformation have become one of the main priorities for the Turkic world. He stated that the organization is determined to deepen this line of cooperation further, and that the implementation of new initiatives and joint projects, particularly in the directions of information security and strategic communication, is planned.

Ömer Kocaman noted that Azerbaijan plays a vital bridging role among the OTS countries and highly appreciated Azerbaijan's contributions to strengthening cooperation in the Turkic world.
