"New media tools enhanced with artificial intelligence are being used as weapons to disrupt public order and undermine trust in state institutions," said Bora Bayraktar, Head of the Strategic Communication and Crisis Management Department of the Communications Department of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Türkiye, during his speech at the Media Forum of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization held in Baku, APA reports.
"This reality necessitates a reassessment of the concept of communication itself. Communication has already become a major policy area with its own ecosystem, such as foreign policy, energy, or economy," he noted.
Expressing his belief that the D-8 Media Forum will yield effective and sustainable results, the speaker stressed his confidence that the Media Cooperation Center, which is planned to be established within the framework of the D-8, will further develop media cooperation and increase the joint strategic communication power of the member countries.
