"Today, we face a number of problems on digital platforms. Therefore, it is necessary to form a unified media space for the Turkic states," said Maksat Mamytkanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the 7th meeting of the ministers and high-ranking officials responsible for media and information of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.
He stated that this will make an important contribution to the further development of the organization’s national information security: “By exchanging views, we will be able to make important decisions here. Today, the member countries of the OTS have achieved significant results in various directions. Along with other areas, cooperation in the field of information is extremely important. This cooperation means the creation and effective implementation of mutual information flows. Social networks can sometimes spread information far from reality. Therefore, strengthening trust between our peoples and countries is one of the main issues.”
He also emphasized that the creation of a unified system could allow protection from such problems and threats.
