The establishment of the D-8 Media Excellence Center is fully supported by the Azerbaijani government, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev said during the presentation of the D-8 Media Excellence Center's strategy within the framework of the 4th Shusha Global Media Forum, APA's correspondent dispatched to Shusha reports.
He noted that Azerbaijan, as a full member of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, attaches great importance to the organization's activities and agenda.
"Azerbaijan is a full member of the D-8 family. This platform is of great importance in terms of global economic cooperation, and we attach special importance to the organization's activities. President Ilham Aliyev has welcomed the initiative to establish the D-8 Media Excellence Center, as well as the Think Tank Center, in Azerbaijan. Today, we are already seeing the first results of that initiative," Hikmat Hajiyev said.
The presidential aide stressed that the D-8 Media Excellence Center is an important platform for expanding media cooperation among the member states.
