The local office of Euronews television is starting its operations in Baku, APA reports.
An opening ceremony of the Euronews office was held on this occasion.
Media representatives, diplomats and other guests attended the opening ceremony.
Speaking at the event, Euronews Board Chairman Pedro Vargas David said that the media organization he leads has always demonstrated a balanced position towards Azerbaijan and has been subjected to pressure for this position.
Pedro Vargas David expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the Baku office of the influential European media organization.
The prospects for future cooperation between Azerbaijan and Euronews were discussed.
The opening ceremony continued with a cultural program.
It should be noted that Euronews was established on January 1, 1993.
