Azerbaijani media representatives visited the “Eternal City” cultural complex located on the territory of the Silk Road Samarkand International Tourism Center, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Uzbekistan reports.
The journalists were informed about the concept of the “Eternal City” and the presentation of the historical and cultural features of various regions of Uzbekistan there.
It was stated that the “Eternal City” is a cultural and tourism project that presents the country’s rich ethnographic heritage, national traditions, craftsmanship and cuisine in a single location.
The activities of craftsmen engaged in traditional crafts, national clothing, examples of decorative art and cultural elements characteristic of various regions are displayed here.
The journalists also familiarized themselves with examples of national cuisine and local handicraft products. It was noted that the creation of the complex makes it possible both to introduce tourists closely to Uzbekistan’s cultural diversity and to preserve traditional arts and crafts.
