Azerbaijani journalists have visited the Center of Islamic Civilization as part of a media tour in Uzbekistan, APA's correspondent dispatched to Uzbekistan reports.
A visit by media representatives to the Center of Islamic Civilization was organized.
It was noted that the center operates in the areas of studying the role of Central Asia, particularly Transoxiana, in the development of Islamic civilization, promoting the scientific legacy of prominent scholars and thinkers, as well as developing dialogue between different cultures and civilizations.
It was stated that, alongside studying the scientific and intellectual heritage of the Islamic world, familiarizing the younger generation with this heritage, conducting scientific research, and expanding international scientific cooperation also occupy an important place in the center's activities.
During the visit, Azerbaijani journalists were informed about initiatives implemented by Uzbekistan to preserve its historical and cultural heritage, promote the country's historical role in the development of Islamic culture and science, as well as encourage intercultural and interfaith dialogue.
It was noted that the Center of Islamic Civilization serves as an important platform for promoting Uzbekistan's rich historical and cultural heritage internationally, passing the scientific achievements of the Islamic world on to future generations, and developing the country's scientific and cultural diplomacy.
