Cooperation in the field of media and information within the Organization of Turkic States carries special importance as a strategic platform that unites member countries around common historical, cultural, and linguistic ties, said Ahmed Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the 7th meeting of the ministers and high-ranking officials responsible for media and information of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.
He emphasized that expanding information exchange, jointly combating fake news and hybrid threats, as well as building a more resilient and coordinated common Turkic information space, are among the main goals of this cooperation.
“Today’s meeting serves once again to unite the Turkic states. It is a favorable platform for expanding our media cooperation. The holding of this forum in Azerbaijan carries special importance. Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of the media both inside the country and abroad.
As you know, the Shusha Global Forum is held in Azerbaijan every year. This forum enables us to advance in the international arena and expand our relations. This forum also shows that the Organization of Turkic States creates important development opportunities for our country.”
Ahmed Ismayilov noted that the Azerbaijani side is interested in continuing joint initiatives on the analysis of global media trends, increasing media literacy, and strategic communication.
